New FMB Side Project in the Works
May 20, 2008
FMB's founding members, composer/guitarist Dennis Lippe and producer Tom Campbell, along with FMB drummer John Rolland, have joined forces to create a new band with a modern rock edge and deep lyrical message. The project is tentatively being called the DRL Project, short for Dennis Robert Lippe.
"The sound of the new project is different enough to deserve a new title", explains Lippe. "There is more of a rock edge and it’s also very lyrically driven as opposed to FMB’s more instrumental Jazz flare. The lyrics are very personal and tell a story of some very emotionally hard times I’ve been through over the past decade. But the story comes across more positive and optimistic."
